Kendrick Lamar opened the 60th annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, Jan. 28 with a stark performance of his song “XXX,” which included cameos by members of U2 and comedian Dave Chappelle. Taking the stage at New York’s Madison Square Garden with a squadron of dancers in military garb against a backdrop of waving American flags, Lamar sported a man-bun and looked like he was reading his verses off a teleprompter.
