Bay Area gets long overdue rainfall, more showers expected

A cold front brought widespread rain to the Bay Area on Monday — just in time for the morning commute. Scattered showers are expected to continue into the afternoon throughout the region, according to the National Weather Service. By Monday morning, San Francisco had doubled its monthly total with .01 inches of rain, bringing the total to just .02 inches for February, according to the NWS. Forecasters said Napa had .18 inches of rain and Santa Rosa had .17 inches. San Jose and Concord both received .13 inches of rain overnight. Big Sur is expected to received the most rain with .31 inches.
