An overturned car caused a severe traffic alert Friday morning on Highway 24 in the Caldecott Tunnel, authorities said. The vehicle is blocking the left lane of the eastbound tunnel between Oakland and Orinda, according to the California Highway Patrol. There were no injuries reported in the single-car accident, which was reported at 5:10 a.m. As of 6:05 a.m., the car remained on its roof, CHP said. Traffic is reportedly moving through one lane of the tunnel, but motorists are advised to expect delays. Sophie Haigney is a San Francisco Chronicle staff writer. Email: sophie.haigney@sfchronicle.
