Man trapped, injured under fallen tree in SF park

A man was injured after part of a tree fell on top of him in San Francisco’s McLaren Park on Sunday, according to the San Francisco Fire Department. Fire officials and park rangers found the man near the green water towers in the center of the park and began a rescue operation shortly after 3 p.m. He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital for non-life threatening injuries, said San Francisco Fire Lt. Jonathan Baxter. The injured man was able to call 911 and report that he was trapped. Baxter said the man had been listening to jazz under the tree.
