The man known as the Golden State Killer, who is reportedly in Sacramento police custody after 32 years in the shadows, spent 10 months haunting the Bay Area. From Oct. 1978 until July 1979, he targeted single women and couples in Concord, Walnut Creek, San Ramon, Danville, Fremont and San Jose.
