NEWTOWN - The mother of a child who died in the Sandy Hook massacre told President Donald Trump Wednesday during a White House meeting about school shootings that he had the power to prevent student deaths. “This is not difficult,” said Nicole Hockley, during a listening session called by the president to discuss shooting deaths at schools following the Valentine’s Day massacre in Florida that left 14 high schoolers and three staff members dead. “These deaths are preventable.
