Protesters across the country are taking to the streets Saturday to advocate for more stringent gun control in solidarity with March for Our Lives, a protest taking place in Washington D.C. that’s organized by survivors of last month’s school shooting in Parkland, Florida. The March 24 protest has some 831 affiliated events taking place in solidarity, but the protest in Washington is the flagship of the movement. There, survivors of the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, in which 17 people were killed, will lead the march down Pennsylvania Avenue. The march follows the March 14 national school walkout, in which students all over America walked out of their classrooms to protest for gun safety.
