WASHINGTON - Hundreds of thousands of demonstrators gathered in the nation's capital and cities across the U.S. on Saturday to demand action against gun violence, the latest and most visible show of force by a student-led political movement born in the wake of a deadly school shooting in Parkland, Florida. Led by students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, where a shooter's rampage last month left 17 dead, the teens who took the stage at the March for Our Lives in downtown Washington called for Congress to enact stricter gun controls in response to the nation's relentless, two-decade stretch of campus shootings.
