Atmospheric river dumps massive amounts of rain on Bay Area

Rainfall pounded rooftops around the Bay Area overnight as a storm known as an "atmospheric river" or a "pineapple express" pulled moisture from the subtropics across California.
Around midnight San Francisco picked up .10 inches of rain in an hour, which is more than the normal daily rainfall of .09 for March 21.
